DeWalt has today announced a new partnership with UK military charity, Help for Heroes, a charity formed to help those who have been wounded in conflict.
The manufacturer of industrial power tools will begin its new association by donating money from sales of an exclusive Help for Heroes branded promotional cordless kit which will be launched later this year.
Richard Mallinson, head of marketing at DeWalt, described Help for Heroes as "a charity that is well known, respected and incredibly popular with the UK public.
"Through this new relationship we're committed to helping the team raise funds to contribute towards the vital work that the charity delivers to support our brave service men, women and veterans. We have a host of new initiatives planned for the coming months to enable us to raise both money and awareness of Help for Heroes, including internal fundraising activities."
Bryn Parry, ceo and co-founder of Help for Heroes, added: "We're delighted to build this new partnership with DeWalt. The war may be over but the battles are only just beginning for those whose lives have changed in the service of our country, a fight that may last for the rest of their lives. We need to make sure that there's a comprehensive level of support available to them and that it's there for life."
Motorcycle racer Bradley Smith announced the partnership at a special event at Silverstone.
