Dickies' monkey business helps sanctuary clean up
Published: 2 September 2015
Workwear specialist Dickies has donated over 30 coveralls for the volunteers and staff at the Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary near Looe, Cornwall.
The sanctuary rescues monkeys from conditions of abuse and neglect and gives them a safe home for life, with spacious enclosures, monkey companionship and specialist care.
However, with 38 monkey residents there is a lot of cleaning to do every day, and Dickies' bespoke embroidered garments play an important role in keeping the carers dirt-free.
Thanking Dickies, Claire Turnbull of the Wild Futures primate welfare team said: "Our keeper teams were particularly excited when the donation arrived , and it's great to see everyone well protected for cleaning routines and proudly displaying our charity's logo!
"Much of our funding goes towards caring for the rescued monkeys at our sanctuary, so we simply don't have a budget for kitting everyone out in quality clothing, meaning your support is very much appreciated and really does make a big difference to our work."
