John Lewis tops the overall rankings of the best brands for customer service, according to YouGov BrandIndex’s score. This is a measure of overall brand health which takes into account consumers’ perceptions of a brand’s quality, value, impression, satisfaction, reputation and whether they would recommend it to others.
The Index Rankings list shows the brands with the highest average Index scores between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017. The Index Improvers list ranks the brands with the highest increase in Index comparing scores from the previous year; both are representative of the general population.
In addition, the top five in the UK General Retail rankings are IKEA, Argos, B&Q, Wilko and Dunelm.
“It is certainly true to say that the scores of brands such as Ikea and Argos do point to the enduring popularity those companies enjoy,” said YouGov BrandIndex’s Mickey Stacey. “Across the board we have seen heritage brands or those that have a long-standing connection with the British public such as Ikea, performing well. It gives those companies a solid base from which to launch new marketing drives in the coming months.”
