The 3rd Global DIY Summit will kick off today - held for the first time in the UK, at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel in London.
More than 700 delegates from across the world will gather at the venue from today, participating in a tour of some of the most innovative DIY stores in London store tour this afternoon, followed by a get-together this evening, sponsored by Homebase.
A fantastic set of speakers are lined up to present over the course of the conference on Thursday and Friday, including a panel discussion with Kingfisher group chief executive Véronique Laury, OBI CEO Sergio Giroldi from Germany, Bunnings CEO John Gillam from Australia, Kärcher CEO Hartmut Jenner from Germany and Stanley Black & Decker CEO John F. Lundgren, CEO Stanley Black & Decker from the USA.
The social highlight of the three-day event will be the Gala Dinner at London's Guildhall, where former Home Depot executive vice president of strategic development Jim Inglis will receive the 2015 Global DIY Lifetime Award.
News of where next year's European DIY Forum - also organised by EDRA and Fediyma - will be held will also be announced during the event.
