DIY Week Awards 2015: Gold winners revealed

Hundreds of leading DIY and garden suppliers, wholesalers and independent and multiple retailers came together this week at the 2015 DIY Week Awards to find out who had scooped Gold.
The winners of the industry's most prestigious accolades were revealed to a packed audience at the event, which once again took place during the Totally Shows in Coventry.
Winners of the Silver awards across both product and retailer categories were revealed at the end of last year, but the identities of those picked for Gold were kept tightly under wraps until the evening of the awards event.
This year's Gold accolades were awarded to:

Another winner on the night was industry charity, the Rainy Day Trust, for which at least £4,500 was raised. A donation of £2,500 by DIY Week publisher Datateam Business Media was boosted by some £2,000 thanks to the generosity of attendees. The final donations are still being counted.
Huge thanks go to our two panels of awards judges for their time and expertise. Judging the retailers were: BIRA Direct director of buying Steve Akers; GCA chief executive Iain Wylie; industry consultant and former DIY Week publisher Colin Petty; Stax Trade Centres operations director Nigel Wright; and Thorns DIY business development manager Emily Duke and director Miriam Devlin.
Judging the products were: Homebase senior buyer Andrew Georgiou; QVC DIY, security and home automation associate buyer David Murray; Home Hardware Southwest DIY buyer Paul Andrews; BHETA home improvement sector director Peter Stone; Wilko assistant buyer Emma Dines; Wilko business relationship manager, buying, John Cosford; and Squire's Garden Centres director of purchasing Darran Oakley.
