DLF Trifolium sexual harassment case 'resolved'

Published: 31 March 2010
The employment tribunal brought by Miranda Harris against former employer DLF Trifolium for sexual discrimination and sexual harassment has been resolved according to both parties.
A statement from Mrs Harris said simply that: "In line with today's order of the court, the claim due to be heard on March 29 at Bennett House, Town Road, Hanley, Stoke on Trent ST1 2QB will be withdrawn by April 26 2010." Suggesting a settlement had been agreed.

DLF Trifolium md Laurence Scowen, refused to be drawn on the outcome, saying only that "the case is resolved" declining to comment further.

The tribunal, which began on Monday, was due to last four days, meaning a result should not have been reached until tomorrow. No decision has yet been filed with Employment Tribunals, according to a spokesperson, and Mrs Harris confirmed she has signed a confidentiality agreement. She told DIY Week she was "pleased with the outcome and hope my actions will protect future employees".
