Tesco sold Dobbies to Midlothian Capital Partners and Hattington Capital for £217m in August this year, after narrowing beating rival bidder Wyevale Garden Centres. Sales for the 52 weeks ending February 28 were £153.7m, up from £152.9m.

It follows the previous year's profit loss of £48.4m, putting it £41m in the red. This loss was put down to a £54.4m impairment on its assets.
