DriBox to bring manufacture operations home

DriBox told DIY Week it will start manufacturing its award-winning weatherproof box in the UK by late Spring, cutting shipping costs and lead times, as well as creating new jobs.
Due to the brand's huge success, the business is now in the process of branching away from its parent company Festive Lights.
Speaking to DIY Week at the Totally shows, DriBox sales manager Stephen Alty said: "We will still be keeping our manufacturing plant in China because it helps supply places like America and Australia.
"But manufacturing in the UK will cut lead times over here and it's a good thing to see written on our products. It will mean we can stock our customers here in half the time, no more shipping delays and for less cost."
The manufacturing facility DriBox plans to use is located near Birmingham and will mean warehouse staff headcount will see an increase.
"It will take a few months to get the designs and tools ready," Mr Alty added. "But we're hoping to be up and running by the summer."
