DRU wood fires and stoves re-branded as DG Fires
Published: 14 January 2014
DRU Verwarming, the European manufacturer of gas and wood-burning fires, has announced that its wood fires and stoves have been re-branded as DG Fires in the UK.
DRU acquired the Dutch wood stove company Dik Geurts in 2007, since when the production of all of the latter's products has been moved to DRU's central factory at Duiven in the Netherlands.
This includes the development of new models specially designed for the UK market.
Now under the banner of DG Fires, the new products include the built-in Instyle and Prostyle ranges. These wood fires have been designed to replicate the look and feel of some of the most popular DRU contemporary gas fires, but with the benefit of clean combustion, high heat outputs and low carbon emissions.
These insert fires have sizes from 500 to 700mm wide, so they can be fitted to a Class 1 UK chimneybreast with minimal building conversion work. In addition, DG Fires produces a wide range of contemporary free-standing or wall-mounted wood stoves.
DRU has developed a shop-in-shop concept for DG Fires, along with point-of-sale material.
