Currys owner DSG International is set to expand and rebrand its portfolio of stores.
The firm is set to reveal plans for a chain of Currys megastores to see off a potential threat by American electricals giant Best Buy, which will debut in the UK this year, according to the Guardian.
DSG will pay for the expansion from its profits and has revealed plans to turn a former B&Q site in new Malden south west London into a megastore for the capital.
The chain already has a 55,000 sq ft Birmingham megastore, the UK's largest electricals shop, with hopes for sales of £30m this year.
And there are plans for a further three megastores around the country, but the precise details have yet to be confirmed.
