Last Sunday saw 15,000 keen runners - and several brightly coloured footguards - brave blistering temperatures to take part in the UK's first ever Color Run, presented by Dulux.
The global initiative, which has already seen more than 600,000 participants across America, Canada and Australia, involved runners tackling a 5km distance through clouds of multi-coloured powder paint.
To mark the event's arrival to the UK, several footguards shirked their traditional red and black uniforms for all white, providing a blank canvas for the clouds of fluorescent colour. The guards certainly drew many an interested eye as they took a ride on the London Underground and marched through the streets of London, lead by the iconic Dulux dog.
Speaking before the event, Dulux marketing controller Jenny Hall said: "Colour has such a powerful effect on our lives - it not only transforms the places in which we live but also impacts our mood and wellbeing.
"We're delighted to be presenting The Color Run in the UK for the first time - one of the many ways that we're bringing to life our mission to add colour to people's lives.
"We're excited about the first run taking place in London this weekend, and are looking forward to showing the British public just how much fun you can have with colour."
After its London debut, the Color Run will head to Manchester on July 21, Belfast on August 24 and Brighton on September 13.
