Dulux has today launched the shortlist for its third annual Let's Colour Awards, which celebrate the most innovative uses of colour across Britain's creative industries and events.
As part of the awards, the British public are being invited to vote for their Colour Moment of the Year, with nominees including large-scale national events such as the iconic poppy installation at the Tower of London, the Making Colour exhibition at the National Gallery, Summer of Colour at the Turner Contemporary and Illuminating York Festival.
The awards, which will be hosted in London at the end of April, will also celebrate colour in seven other categories: fashion & beauty, homes and interiors, tech and design, colour in the arts and contribution to colour, and this year sees two new categories, young designer and colour in commercial architecture and buildings.
Dulux creative director and head judge Marianne Shillingford, said: "Colour has the unique ability to transform, uplift and inspire us all, but it is often overlooked and taken for granted. It's amazing to see how the Let's Colour Awards have continually pushed these boundaries and question how we see and engage with colour.
"There's such a strong line-up of contenders across all categories and I'm so excited to see what the British public will vote as their Colour Moment of the Year".
This year's judges include previous winner and creative director of Illamasqua, Alex Box; co-founder and chief creative officer of MADE.com, Chloe Macintosh; founder of TENT London, Jimmy MacDonald; and head of design at the V&A Museum, Annabel Judd.
