PlantWorks UK, which produces biological solutions for gardening and horticulture, specialising in mycorrhizal fungi, has expanded its UK team ready for 2020.

Acton joins the team as field sales manager for the Empathy brand in the north of the UK.

Speaking about the new role, Acton said: “I am pleased to join Plantworks, the company has a fantastic range of products which have been developed and refined by the team of in-house experts in mycorrhizal fungi.

"I plan to draw on this wealth of knowledge and add my own garden retail experience to build strong bonds with customers and help maximise in store sales by providing advice on link sale opportunities, as well as educating them on our wide range of products.”

Plantworks’ director, Simon Taylor also commented: “As we expand, first rate service and customer support remains a top priority. With his background in garden centre retail Neil has a good understanding of how things 'tick' and we're excited to welcome him to the Empathy team."
