Following the
recent merger between the Rainy Day Trust and the Pottery and Glass Trades' Benevolent Fund, Exclusively Housewares has become the latest major brand to sign up as a partner of the charity.
The show, which is owned and organised by Brooke House Exhibitions on behalf of BHETA, will run on June 11 and 12, with the 2013 marking its 12th year. Floor space has already sold out, and more than 120 exhibitors have been confirmed.
Chairman of Brooke House Exhibitions and BHETA housewares sector director William Jones said: "Exclusively Housewares is one of the key events in the housewares industry calendar. It is an important sales and networking opportunity and an important meeting place for the industry.
"We are delighted therefore, to become a formal partner of the newly enlarged industry charity - and extend our support to those who have played an active role in our industry over the years. The Rainy Day Trust has been doing that for 170 years, and the show felt it was appropriate to help fund their work."
The Rainy Day Trust is the only charity to specifically serve the needs of the DIY and housewares industry. Through annual pensions and one-off grants, it assists people who have spent a significant part of their working lives in the industry and now find they need a helping hand. It has raised and given away more than £1m over the past 10 years.
