Visitor feedback positive from ninth Exclusively Housewares show, which ran earlier this month at the Business Design Centre in London.
The show, which opened on Tuesday, June 8, featured 123 leading housewares and tabletop suppliers - 28 of which were new companies or those returning after a break from the exhibition.
The show also enjoyed a good turnout of buyers from across the whole retail spectrum of cookshops, mail order/internet, department stores, giftware stores, TV shopping, grocery and hardware stores.
Show director Simon Boyd said: "Exclusively Housewares proves that the right content is vital for attracting the right buyers and our thanks go to all our exhibitors for working so hard to bring some wonderful new colours, ideas and products to the show."
Upstairs, Downstairs director Yossi Gliksman, a regular Exclusively visitor commented: "What can we say? Yet again a great success - a well organised show... brilliant line up of suppliers, and basically, as a cookshop owner for the last 24 years this has to be our main event of the year when it comes to housewares buying."
The sheds were also out in force, with B&Q's Lucy Norman praising the trade exhibition. "I always really enjoy the Exclusively Housewares show. There was lots of new product to see this year and it's a great opportunity to see all housewares suppliers in one place."
The show, which is organised by Brooke House Exhibitions, is run on behalf of the housewares members of BHETA, the. It offers a unique format for suppliers and visitors, with hospitality at the show provided free of charge.
Mr Boyd concluded: "The show also attracted more overseas visitors this year, above and beyond those whom we had targeted ourselves. Obviously word about the quality of our exhibitors is slowly but surely reaching beyond the UK - which is a real testament to the interest these suppliers generate amongst buyers," concluded Simon.
Next year's show will run June 7-8, 2011 and will once again be held at the Business Design Centre in London.
