The Garden Industry Manufacturers Association (GIMA) has had to make extra places available for this year's GIMA Awards dinner as demand has outstripped supply.
A real sign of a more bullish attitude in the garden sector, the 300 original places sold out very quickly and GIMA has had to add additional space, with a marquee linked to the main function suite, to accommodate more guests.
GIMA director Neil Gow said: "We were originally limited at the venue to 300 guests, which, back in January, seemed an optimistic target. However, with demand for places reaching capacity within days of announcing the event, we have secured additional space in a marquee linked to the main function suite so we have been able to re-open the booking line."
Television presenter Philippa Forrester will host this year's event, at the Cotswold Water Park Hotel on June 16, with entertainment from comedian Mark Watson.
