Extra window security from Abus

Published: 20 July 2017

Complementing its door bars, the latest offering from Abus is a comprehensive range of window grills ensuring any exposed window area can be made completely secure. UK Crime Stats confirmed burglary is on the increase, with 38,313 reported break-ins during January 2017.  While the majority of forced entries are through the main door, the next likely option is through a window.

Often out of sight from CCTV systems or general view and even when window-locking devices are installed, all too often ground floor window entry can be easily gained via leverage applied via a large screwdriver or gemmy. Abus FGI Window Grills can be fitted quickly, offering a simple solution to keeping intruders out. Five options cover most applications starting at 500-650 x 300 mm, RRP £43.31 exc. VAT, followed by 700-1050 x 300 mm, RRP £47.92 exc. VAT; 500-650 x 450 mm, RRP £56.22 exc. VAT; 700-1050 x 450 mm, RRP £65.43 exc. VAT; and 700-1050 x 600 mm, RRP £82.94 exc. VAT.

The variable widths allow the grill to be easily expanded so that the window aperture is completely covered with a clearly visible and secure steel deterrent to intruders. Abus provides security solutions for commercial and domestic applications including padlocks, mobile security, cylinder systems, CCTV and alarms, and mechatronic access control.
