FEDIYMA becomes HIMA

The former European Federation of DIY Manufacturers (fediyma) has rebranded as the Home Improvement Manufacturers Association (HIMA), with an expanded range of benefits for members.
HIMA is an international network of over 1000 suppliers and manufacturers of home improvement, DIY, gardening, building materials and furniture industries. The British Home Enhancement Trade Association was a founding member of HIMA and remains a member today.
HIMA services can be grouped under three main headings - networking, knowledge and lobbying. In terms of networking HIMA is notable for its organisation of the Global DIY Summit which this year takes place in Amsterdam from the 10-12 June. The annual event includes speaker attractions, study tours, workshops and trade fairs as well as a gala dinner. It is the premier international event for both suppliers and retailers in the industry. BHETA members can secure special rates for attending and exhibiting at the Summit.
HIMA’s knowledge platform centres on production of the annual Global Home Improvement Report and the 2019 version has just been made available at a discounted rate to BHETA members. This is a worldwide survey detailing statistics and information including everything a UK exporter would need to know about the top ten major home improvement markets. Content is equally relevant to DIY and housewares suppliers with detailed data about market sizes, major retailers and market evolution.
