Fiskars release new tree pruners

Published: 9 March 2018

More than 365 years in manufacturing cutting tools means Fiskars’ new tree pruners, the Telescopic Tree Pruner UPX86, with a length of up to 6m, as well as the UPX82 that reaches a length of up to 3.5m, can only offer maximum precision and top cutting performance, says the company. They replace the older models UP86 and UP82 that Fiskars launched as the first of their kind. Cutting back overgrown trees is not one of the easiest tasks to do around the garden but with this versatile addition to the PowerGear X family, which carefully combines convenience and performance, it becomes an effortless job. Reaching up to an impressive 6 metres, thanks to its extendable shaft, Fiskar’s PowerGear X Telescopic Tree Pruner enables expert to novice gardeners to easily trim overhead branches without the need for a ladder. With an adjustable cutting angle up to 230° - no branch is left untouched or unreached, and gardeners can benefit from up to 12 times more cutting power compared to conventional products. At this year’s Garden Press Event, journalist had a chance to try and test the PowerGear X UPX86 Telescopic Tree Pruner which reached the entire length of a 6m tower purposely built for Fiskars’ stand at the show.
