Focus comes to aid of flood victims

Published: 24 July 2007
In response to the floods that have wreaked havoc across the north of England, Focus DIY is offering 20% discounts to damage victims.
The company's stores in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Hull, Beverley, Chesterfield, Louth, Mansfield, Retford and Doncaster have all offered local residents, who have been affected by the floods, 20% off products in-store to help reduce the cost of cleaning up.

Samantha Ford, store manager for Focus at Barnsley, said: "Focus has a history of commitment to supporting the communities in which their stores are located.

"The recent flood damage has left many people without the basic equipment needed to clean up their homes and gardens and we feel our offer to flood damage victims was the least we could do at a difficult time for the people in our community."

Anyone whose house or garden has been directly affected by the floods can apply for the support card in-store at the branches taking part in the scheme
