Mr Gelardi senior is also said to be working on the new site in an 'advisory' role although he is not mentioned on official documents.
The new firm is operating from Wrapit's former offices in Delta Park, Wandsworth, South London.
The website sells ranges of designer products for the home and garden as well as producing a monthly magazine.
