Shielld Innovations Limited, a new manufacturer in South Wales have scooped a Gold Award at the recent 2008 DIY Industry Awards.
They have launched a new brand of safety-focused painting tools to the Professional and DIY decorating market
Freehand is a totally new painting and decorating system designed to make the job far easier and above all..... much safer!
The system addresses the problem of painting with rollers and brushes whilst working at height from ladders and steps
Carrying tools and unstable paint trays up ladders incurs a questionable level of personal security. Furthermore, satisfactorily positioning these items in a reasonable working position is also quite awkward.
Freehand is a totally new and innovative system specifically designed to ensure users always retain a firm grip on their access equipment - whilst painting and decorating far more ergonomically at height.
All the necessary painting equipment and tools - roller scuttles, rollers and paint brushes - are simply and securely attached to a custom designed holsta worn on the hip, leaving both hands unencumbered to climb the chosen access device.
When the desired working height is reached, the user can either begin painting using the special paint scuttle (the rolla-coata) mounted directly on their holsta or alternatively transfer it to a specially designed ladder bracket - the mount-E a clever self-clamping device which simply clips and locks to the side of the ladder.
Substantially reduces the time required working at height
Lessens the number of ascents and descents necessary to complete the work
Alleviates the problem of back-ache
Ensures the paint is always where you need it,
Without the need to reach out for paint receptacles.
It is envisaged that the system will be further extended to all types of working practices at heights.
