The outlook for the sector of the light bulb is positive with halogen lights now almost a national obsession, according to research by one of the world's largest light makers.

Figures suggest halogen light is the fastest growing sector within lighting with a predicted 10% year-on-year sales increase throughout Europe until 2015.

October will see the introduction of a new range of eco-chic energy-saving halogens, available in all shapes and sizes so homeowners looking for energy-efficient options to fit in with their current décor.

The Osram halogen energy saver range used 30% less energy than standard bulbs, and will be available in spotlights, candle and classic shape bulbs.
