Garden Centre TV hits the ground running
The recently launched Garden Centre Television trade website has triggered an exceptional response, the founder Jim Greenfield has told diyweek.net.

"It's very early days, however the reaction has been very positive indeed," he said.

The website - launched by ex-garden industry tradesmen Mervyn Reesby and Jim Greenfield - just under a month ago features a weekly video show, with visits to nurseries and showrooms, events and exhibitions.

Also included is a supplier directory, new product section, and videos about products and services.

Mr Greenfield said the site is "for all staff, not just buyers."

He added: "Regular staff don't get a chance to visit suppliers and get to know how products are made, for example. Hopefully this will be used as an aid for staff training."

Between them Mervyn Reesby and Jim Greenfield have more than 40
years experience in garden retailing and horticulture.
