Organisers have announced the date for next year's Garden & Home Press Event - Thursday, February 12 - and revealed that it will mark its 10th anniversary in 2015.
Originally launched as the Garden Press Event in 2005, the event now brings together 250 media professionals from TV, radio and national consumer and trade press from across the home and garden industry.
It is the only event of its kind aimed specifically for the garden and home sector to bring the latest products and stories exclusively to the key names in the garden and home press and media.
Country Living Magazine gardening editor Stephanie Donaldson, Gardening Editor said of the event: "I now consider the Garden Press Event an essential date in my diary. The opportunity to talk to the exhibitors and see and handle new products, at an event exclusively for the press is worth a thousand press releases"
This year, home enhancement retailer Homebase took home the award for best stand at the show. The home enhancement retailer showcased their latest home and garden ranges, as well as talking about their plans for the Chelsea Flower Show this year. The homebase team was joined on stand by its Garden Academy students, who are heavily involved in the Chelsea show garden.
Homebase PR manager Claire Abercrombie said: "We are delighted to have won the 'best stand' award and especially proud that the Homebase Garden Academy students, who joined us at the event to talk about their experience, were recognised by the judging panel."
