Over 230 garden centres took part in fundraising events during Garden Re-Leaf Day to raise over £60,000 for children's hospice garden charity Greenfingers.
Celebrities such as Alistair McGowen, David Tennant, Jude Law and Naomi Harris got involved and helped bump up the total.
The biggest donations came in from Hillview, The Garden Centre Group (now Wyevale Garden Centres), Webbs of Wychbold and Barton Grange.
Garden Re-Leaf Day founder, Boyd Douglas-Davies, said: "We are so grateful to everyone for making Garden Re-Leaf Day 2014 a success, as we look forward to making next year even bigger and better."
The total raised was revealed at last night's Garden Industry Manufacturers' Association's Awards. It was also announced that to date a huge £175,000 has been raised for Greenfingers.
Garden Re-Leaf Day is now preparing for its fourth year and any money raised by the charity day will go towards Greenfingers' Rosy Cheeks appeal which aims to raise a further £750,000 in the next two years to create 10 hospice gardens.
