Garden Re-Leaf Day walkers seek sponsorship
Published: 25 February 2015
There is still time to help Greenfingers by sponsoring members of the garden industry who are embarking on a
walk on the charity's Garden Re-Leaf Day.A group of people will be trekking 20 miles along the Thames on March 27 to help raise funds to build gardens at children's hospices. Each participant is aiming to raise £500 in the run-up to the event.
Glee event manager Matthew Mein is organising the walk and will be joined by his team from i2i Events. Also walking will be Garden Industry Manufacturers Association director Vicky Nuttall, Will Armitage and Iain Wylie (Garden Centre Association), Martin Simmons (Horticultural Trades Association), Trevor Pfeiffer (Garden Trade News), Sarah Cosgrove (Horticulture Week), Craig Hall (Deco-Pak), Chris Houfe (Great British Cards), Mark Long (Paperhouse), Ian Flounders and Richard Newton (Woodlodge) and a member of the Greenfingers team.
They will be joined by Kimberley Hornby and Robbie Cumming from Whitefoot PR, who have set up a fund-raising website at
www.justgiving.com/TeamWhitefoot. They say that any donations - even if it's just £1 - will be hugely appreciated.
