Association aims to help answer questions about economic downturn and believes retailers and suppliers alike have 'good times' ahead.
Two leading retailers will be included in the line-up of speakers at the next GIMA Business Meeting to help inspire businesses in the face of a challenging year.
Lloyd Taylor, a key buyer at Wilkinson will present an insight into the strategy behind the changes at Wilkinson and offer a glimpse of the Wilkinson store of the future.
Mr Taylor will also discuss what differentiates the business from its competitors, who its customers are, the challenges it will face and the opportunities for suppliers to grow with it.
At the other end of the retail spectrum is Paul Wright, managing director of Frosts Garden Centres Ltd. He will take attendees through where the business, said by some to be the 'sleeping giant' of our industry, is today and where it is heading under his leadership to create what he calls 'Frosts Reawakening'.
Mr Wright has a number of years experience with retailers, including the John Lewis Partnership and the Early Learning Centre.
GIMA's Business Meeting is open to non-members as well as members.
It will be held at Henley Golf and Country Club, Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire on October 8 at 10.30am.
