Rebecca Abbott has been promoted to the position of administration manager at the Garden Industry Manufacturers Association (GIMA).
Ms Abbott joined GIMA in 2007 and runs the busy Birmingham office. She said: "It is one of the great attractions of the role that it is so varied. One minute I can be dealing with a supplier's query on legislation surrounding packaging, the next advising on finance. In addition we are always pleased to help retailers looking for the best suppliers of garden products."
She added: "Being involved with such a fast moving and varied industry really suits me and the members are all so friendly and appreciative of the support we give them."
GIMA president Spencer Goodall said: "I am very pleased at the contribution Rebecca is making to GIMA and having good people in our organisation allows us to undertake all that we do for our members. Rebecca's contacts in the corridors of legislative power in London are another asset to us as we lobby on business matters and the support she gives to our director Neil Gow is very valuable."
