GIMA has named television and radio celebrity Gyles Brandreth as the after-dinner speaker and host for its 2013 GIMA Awards Dinner and Presentation Evening.
The one-time MP for Chester, and the Lord Commissioner in the Treasury during John Major's government, Mr Brandreth now makes frequent appearances on television in programmes including BBC's The One Show, and is also a regular on Radio 4's Just a Minute.

GIMA describes him as "marvellously talented" and says he will be recounting some of the stories from his colourful life.
