As activity ramps up ahead of this September's Glee exhibition, organiser i2i Events has bolstered the show's sales team to deliver more help to new and existing exhibitors.
Licia Viscito, who assisted in the lead-up to the 2015 show, has joined the team as a permanent member, with responsibilities covering new business development with a particular emphasis on growing Glee's international exhibitor base.
With extensive experience within the events industry, Ms Viscito will also help drive interest in the rebranded Landscaping & Garden Decoration and Outdoor Entertaining sectors of Glee 2016, as well as Pet and the new-for-2016 Water Gardening area.
Meanwhile, James Kenton has been appointed to help drive new business development, focussing his attention on attracting new brands and gardening innovators to the show. His efforts will also focus on Glee's core product areas, including Garden Care, Home, Gift & Clothing, as well as Retail Experiences, which replaces Retail Services in 2016.
Focusing on shopfittings, POS, EPoS and retail design, this area will be expanded to offer more on inspirational and functional retailing concepts.
Commenting on the appointments, Glee event director Matthew Mein said the newcomers' "expertise and passion for helping Glee to grow is unrivalled, and I have no doubt they will be vital to the future success of the exhibition.
"We may already be over 84% sold but there is still a lot of work to be done to fill the remaining floor space, and we want to ensure that Glee 2016 delivers the strongest showcase of brands from the UK and abroad."
Garden trade show Glee takes place at the NEC Birmingham, September 12-14.
