Gorleston Godfrey DIY is to finally close its doors

The Gorleston branch of Godfrey DIY is to close this weekend after trading in the Norfolk town for 21 years.
The retailer announced the store would be closing in March after selling the shopping pcentre to a London-based property company.

Rumours circulating in the town that Wilkinson was set to move in have been have been denied by the hardware retailer's spokesperson.

Although the spokesman did add that it 'would love to have a presence there' seeing the area as a 'welcome addition' to its current store portfolio.
