Grafton Group takes another merchant
Allsands is a single branch general builder's merchanting business located in Larkfield, Kent. In the year to March 31 2015 it had a turnover of £6m.

Grafton says that this bolt-on acquisition enhances its market coverage and complements its existing branch network in the south east of England.

Grafton's merchanting businesses include Selco, Buildbase and Plumbase, and the group is also the largest DIY retailer in Ireland, with 37 Woodie's stores.

In January it acquired London-based timber merchant T Brewer & Co, which trades from three branches.
