Greenfingers is calling for any remaining monies raised from Garden Re-Leaf Day in March to be sent in to allow the final tally of this year's activities to be calculated.
The charity is hoping to announce that this year has been the best yet.
The call comes as it is revealed that the day's Glovies campaign went all the way to No 10. While Prime Minister David Cameron was campaigning ahead of this year's general election he visited Squire's Garden Centre in Twickenham.
Quick-thinking manager Julie Leatherdale took the opportunity to explain to him about Garden Re-Leaf Day and asked him to have a snap taken in a pair of Glovies, and he duly obliged.
Participants in the day are asked to send outstanding donations as soon as possible. Cheques, payable to Greenfingers Charity - Garden Re-Leaf, can be sent to Sarah Lioveri, Greenfingers, 23 Gregories Road, Beaconsfield, Bucks HP9 1HH. Or telephone 01494 674749.
