Häfele UK, the distributor of furniture fittings and architectural hardware, has recognised team members who go above and beyond the call of duty at a special awards ceremony in Warwickshire.
Last week's celebratory event was part of a two-day company conference that brought together more than 350 employees to discuss strategic plans for the business and mark over 30 years of Häfele in the UK.

Five members of staff were presented with an Extra Mile Award after being nominated by their colleagues and shortlisted by a panel of select team members. The winners were Mark Copperwheat, from product innovation; Annabelle Amos, from central administration; Lauren Shallcross, from internal sales; and Richard Wallwork and Teresa Brown, from the Swift Valley warehouse.

Afterwards, Ms Brown said: "I never expected to receive an Extra Mile Award and being nominated by my peers was hugely humbling. Häfele is a great place to work and it was fantastic to be able to celebrate over 30 years of Häfele UK."

Commenting on the conference and awards, managing director Garry Marlow said: "For these five members of staff to be recognised and nominated by their fellow colleagues is an outstanding achievement, well done to everyone who received an award."
