Henkel rejoins BHETA

Henkel Adhesives has rejoined The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) after an absence of six years.
Based in Hemel Hempstead, Henkel employs approximately 1000 people across its six sites in the UK and Ireland, which include manufacturing, R&D and office facilities. It supplies a number of high profile consumer brands including Loctite, UniBond, No More Nails and Solvite.
Head of consumer adhesives for the UK, Ireland and the Nordics, Mark Portman, who took on the role in February 2015, said, “The home enhancement sector is strategically important for Henkel and we are a large supplier with key brands and I believe it is right for us to be far closer to the industry.
“Through its networking opportunities and guest speaker forums BHETA membership is a great way to meet this objective. The Association has so much to offer us in terms of industry insights and I hope that we can also bring something to the party from our own experience in today’s retail environment.”
BHETA’s DIY sector director, Paul Grinsell commented, “This is very good news. Henkel is a global operator working with most of the big retail brands and its success owes much to its combination of innovation, technological excellence and corporate ethics. I very much look forward to welcoming Mark and his team to future BHETA events.”
