Mr Giffin joins the group from Waterstone's, where he worked as finance director for five years. His past experience includes senior financial roles at Space NK, Sports Resource Group, HMV and the EMI Group.

Mr Jordan, meanwhile, is no stranger to heading up retail operations, having worked in the same post at Pets at Home for eight of his 12 years with the company.

Hobbycraft's CEO Catriona Marshall said: "We are delighted to welcome Mike and Dominic to the company.

"Their skills and experience in the UK retail sector will further enhance our management team as we continue to make encouraging progress in building this exciting business."
