Home categories continue to show strong growth
Home categories were up 12% overall for the week ended October 2, with textiles, carpets, furniture and home accessories and gifts all reporting double digit increases. Both fitted kitchens and fitted bathrooms saw particularly strong results.

White goods also continued to grow at quite a pace, with sales up 25% for the week.

John Lewis reported double-digit growth all week and its best Saturday of the autumn so far, resulting in an overall sales rise of 14%. Online gave another strong performance, up 57%, with growth across all categories.
