Home delights for Marks & Spencer

Preliminary results for 2006-07 show a 26% rise in net profit on strong sales up 10%.
Central to this stellar performance is home (+13.1%) with new ranges of kitchen accessories and bedding introduced at entry price points.

Autograph has been extended into furniture and home accessories, and the retailer is conducting a trial of electrical products in 13 stores.

The company also says its on-line venture has been successful and is being rolled out to a further 12 units.
