Home Hardware Christmas promotion hits new high

Home Hardware says its Christmas 2012 promotion sales were up 19% over the previous year.
The total print run of the festive brochure was over 1.3m - the highest ever for a single Home Hardware promotion.
Amongst the most popular products were Creative Tops' Gourmet Cheese serving range, Fallen Fruits faux leather door stops and the Vivid Arts letter-box bird house. Torches and a comprehensive range of small electrical products also sold very well.
"We're delighted that the promotion performed well at a very important time, generating considerable extra footfall and sales for our retail members," said marketing manager Beverley Wood. "Once again we were able to maintain over 95% stock availability right up to Christmas, despite sales of several items smashing our original forecasts with suppliers. We greatly appreciate the support we received from our suppliers".
