Watson Home Hardware ‘delighted’ as it bags the top spot in window dressing competition for second year in a row.
Staff at Watson Home Hardware in Sutton-on-Sea celebrated as they were announced winners of this year's Christmas Window Dressing Competition for the second consecutive year.
All Home Hardware retailers were invited to participate in the competition and organisers said the standard of entry was exceptionally high.
The entries were judged by an independent panel, taking into account window content, layout, use of props, use of point of sale material, lighting and overall maintenance of displays.
Beverley Wood, marketing manager of Home Hardware said "The panel had a hard decision in choosing a winner but Watson's eye-catching window displays had the edge.
"Hand- made seasonal props including a large bespoke sparkly MDF '3 for 2' sign helped to promote the Christmas gift selection".
Lennie Watson from Watson Home Hardware was awarded first prize of £100 vouchers, while Craig Snape from Snapes Household in Cheadle Hulme received £50 vouchers for second place in the competition.
Robert Watson, owner of Watson Home Hardware said: "I'm delighted we've won. Lennie and staff have again worked incredibly hard to make our windows interesting and inviting for customers. I'm really pleased their hard work and creativity has paid off".
Home Hardware would like to thank all members who participated in the competition.
