Home Hardware names clay shoot champions

Published: 24 November 2015
Inclement weather failed to dampen spirits at the Clay Pigeon Shoot Challenge held during Home Hardware's Convention earlier this month.
Home Hardware names clay shoot champions
The event took place at the championship-standard South West Shooting School, with 24 members and partners taking part.

The results of the competition were as follows:

· First in the ladies was Angela Langbridge of Langbridge Home Hardware; second was Anne Baker
· First in the men's experienced was Chris Blanchard of Blanchard's Home Hardware; joint second were Richard Burdett and Graham Stemp of Brutons Home Hardware
· First in the men's novice was Robert Watson of Watson Home Hardware; second was Richard Taylor

"The standard of shooting was exceptionally high considering half of the competitors had never used a shotgun before," commented Home Hardware chief executive Martin Elliott.

"Although the weather was against us, it was a very enjoyable afternoon, and our sincere thanks to STV for their very kind sponsorship once again, which made the event possible."
