Home Hardware Scotland has seen its strongest ever quarterly sales since trading began more than 20 years ago.
The March figures for the group, which has 42 member shops throughout Scotland and the north of England, show a like-for-like increase of 12% meaning the year to date is up by 7.6%.

One of the reasons for this apparent trend bucking, says Home Hardware Scotland, is the introduction of a fortnightly dump bin promotion, which helps drive footfall between the seasonal brochures.
