Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Irish Cancer Society, the official charity partners of Homebase, are set to benefit from a fundraising golf event taking place at Woburn Golf Club this Friday, September 7.
The organisation of the event has been led by keen golfing Homebase buyers, Paul Housego and Karen Soper.
It was their close working relationship with key suppliers such as ICI (Dulux), Black & Decker, Bosch and DHL that has made this event possible.
With 25 companies taking part, the total of £10,000 would go to both charity organisations, something Marie Curie Cancer Care were very pleased to recognise.
Celine Gomez, corporate development executive at the charity said: "Our partnership with Homebase allows us to provide nursing care and support to patients and families across the UK and events like this fundraising golf day are so valuable - a big thank you to everyone involved."
The event will see 100-plus participants enjoy an exclusive 18-hole round of golf on of the three Woburn championship courses; while also receiving goodie bags and a three course lunch after they have completed their round of golf.
Paul Housego said: "It is fantastic that so many of the large companies we work with on a regular basis have shown their support for our chosen charity partners.
