Homebase collects for Teenage Cancer Trust this weekend
Published: 6 December 2011
Homebase stores across the country are hoping to raise hundreds of pounds each for Teenage Cancer Trust in a national Christmas collection fundraiser this weekend.
Volunteers from Teenage Cancer Trust will don their Santa hats and tinsel to collect donations from customers, and will join store workers in encouraging customers to decorate the instore Christmas tree with Christmas wishes in return for a £1 donation.
All the proceeds raised will help the charity build and maintain specialist units within NHS hospitals that are designed to feel like a home-from-home and give young cancer patients the very best quality of life and chance of a positive outcome.
Customers can also post their Christmas wishes on the Homebase Facebook page, and from December 8-24, for every Christmas tree or decoration picture uploaded on to the page, Homebase will donate £1 to Teenage Cancer Trust.
Homebase staff selected Teenage Cancer Trust as their official charity partner last year, running until February 2013.
