Homebase launches 2014 outdoor living collection and slashes cost of specimen plants
Published: 27 February 2014
Homebase has added more than 100 pieces of furniture, garden accessories, pots and planters to its outdoor living range for this year.
The home enhancement retailer has also slashed prices of its specimen plants by half, to allow avid gardeners the chance to create instant gardens at a fraction of the cost.
Those looking to spruce up their gardens this summer can choose from four trends such as Global, Country, Classic and Coastal.
The Global range takes inspiration from world travel and features rattan furniture and textured plant pots. The Country range on the other hand brings the British countryside into the back garden with outdoor ornaments including a grazing sheep.
A collection of urn shaped pots and oversized chess pieces make up the Classic range, while the Coastal range allows lovers of the seaside to bring it into their back garden.
Joanna Bolt, Homebase head of trends said: "The garden is now increasingly viewed as another room in the home, so we've introduced over 100 new ornaments and added statement pieces of outdoor furniture and accessories across these collections to give British gardens that personalised touch."
Examples of specimen plants which have had their prices slashed include Goldcrest Spiral at £75 and Cloud Goldcrest at £75.
This range will also include topiary, a type of mature plant which can be trained for years into eye-catching shapes.
