Homebase launches multi-million pound ad campaign

Today sees the release of a 40” TV commercial from the retail giant, designed to appeal to female customers, who make up 61% of what the retailer describes as “the home enhancement market.”

The ad features a house being completely styled and built out of 50 shipping containers. Homebase said it takes "the epitome of an uninspiring square box and [makes] striking transformations."

Homebase's brand controller Becky Brock said: "We feel the new creative will inspire our home enhancement customer, showing them that even a blank canvas of a shipping container can be brought to life and made a home."

A female voiceover is used through the advert, designed to "have more resonance with customers."
