Homebase launches tools from 99p

A new Value range of DIY essentials launched by Homebase this week includes tools offered for sale for less than a pound.
The collection includes more than 300 items, 150 of which cost less than £5. The range debuted in stores on Wednesday this week and is supported by a national ad campaign, including tv ads which have already broken.
Items in the range include tools, such as a 3m tape measure (99p), a 16oz hammer (£3.99), 6in junior hacksaw (£1.99) and a slotted screwdriver (99p).
Decorating items include plain white wall tiles (£4.49 for a pack of 44), white matt paint (£5.99 for five litres), lining paper (£2.24, to cover 5.6sq m), basic roller kit (£2.49), step stool (£11.99) and paintbrushes from 49p
It isn't just DIY essentials included in the range. There are also décor, architectural ironmongery and furnishing items, such as beech laminate flooring (£10.61 for 2.66sq/m), a polished brass internal door pack (£8.99), a silver spotlight (£6.99), beech bookcase (£12.99), toilet seat (£8.99) and a coir doormat (£3.99).
Cookshop is covered with a 16-piece cutlery set (£2.99) and a 12-piece white porcelain dinner set (£5.99), while Value gardening products include seeds (from 39p), terracotta pots (from 49p) and plants (from 99p).
