Homebase Loughborough faces the axe

Published: 18 June 2014
The Range looks set to take over another Homebase store, this time in Loughborough.
The outlet employs 35 members of staff, who are currently involved in a period of consultation over the store's proposed closure.

Subject to successful consultation and planning and landlord consent, the home improvement store will re-open as the latest branch of fast-expanding retailer, The Range. As at Homebase's Sutton-in-Ashfield store, which is also closing, employees will be invited for an interview at the new store, or could be transferred to nearby Homebase or Argos stores.
