Carlisle station painted in technicolour stripes and kitted out with Homebase furniture for filming of home improvement chain's latest advert.
Homebase began a five-day shoot at Carlisle railway station yesterday for its latest TV advert.
The station has been transformed for the ad, with its bridge painted in an array of multi-coloured stripes and one of the platforms decorated with purple wallpaper, with lampshades hanging from the ceiling.
Furniture from the home improvement chain, such as sofas, lamps and kitchen units will also be placed throughout the station.
The advert is said to centre on the owner of a station café, with filming taking place during the day and night.
Earlier this month Homebase took over and decorated part of Charing Cross underground railway station to advertise its new Value range.
